Getting a Tattoo from Vince…

Thank you for your interest in my work. This page of Q&As will give you all the information on the process I follow when designing tattoo art for each individual client, and how I select the projects I work on a regular basis. Please be sure to READ the information provided to find out if I am the artist that matches your needs. My process is not for everyone as I strive to design unique custom pieces for each individual client, rather than copying or reproducing someone else's artwork/tattoos. My goal is to create a great experience for you.
Getting a Tattoo from Vince – FAQ
1. What type of work do you do?
I specialize in custom illustrative tattoos with bold linework, realistic shading, and smooth color or black & grey blends. My focus is on large tattoos such as sleeves and back pieces, but I also do portraiture, caricatures, nature, and statues.
2. Are there styles you won’t do?
Yes. I will not do work that is racist, gang-related, or offensive.
3. Can I send references?
For custom illustrative designs, please don’t send images of other tattoos. Share your idea in words first—I’ll create something unique. After our consultation, I may review reference images if needed.
4. Do you do cover-ups or reworks?
Yes. I take on reworks and cover-ups, but flexibility gives the best results.
5. How do I book?
-
Half-day session (4 hrs): $1,000
-
Full-day session (6–8 hrs): $2,000
-
Smaller tattoos: $250 per hour
Large projects are discussed in a Zoom consultation and usually completed over multiple sessions, scheduled every 4–6 weeks.
6. Deposits & Policies
-
Deposit required: $150–$450, applied to final cost
-
Non-refundable under any circumstance
-
72 hours’ notice required for rescheduling
-
Maximum of two reschedules per deposit; a third reschedule forfeits the deposit
-
A missed appointment or a 3-month gap on ongoing work requires a new deposit
7. Will I see my design before the appointment?
I cater to custom projects and portraiture. A deposit and date must be on file before I begin your design. I normally do not send final designs ahead of time, but I can share a rough sketch if needed. Most designs are finished in-session, sometimes drawn directly on your skin.
8. Appointment reminders
Will you remind me of my appointment time and date?
As a courtesy, my scheduling program will send text and email reminders to you; however it is your responsibility to keep track of your appointments. I recommend double checking your appointments and entering them in your personal calendar so you have that reminder as well.
